Troop 107

Between 1944 and 2016 at least 7,800 suspected 12,254 boys in the boy scouts and experts say that these numbers are a gross underestimation just think about that there's over 12,200 boy scouts that were and those are the reported I can't even begin to imagine how many children were actually victimized by people. Well, a part of the Boy Scout program. I mean, I'd probably put the real number at like 50 to 100,000. Probably even more than that. Honestly, so many reports, especially back then, you know, 1944. Like, no one's reporting or even listening to children who are reporting those things seriously. Either way, it's an astounding number of innocent boys who have been s***. at the hands of their boy scout leaders, adults they were supposed to trust and who they admired. In recent years, a secret case file called the Perversion Files was revealed to the public, which was a huge collection of documents containing reports and evidence of men who were removed from the boy scouts over the past 60 years for being We'll come back to the perversion files in a bit to discuss them more in detail. But the a***** was identified in the documents lived all over the country. The highest number of cases, though, were discovered to have happened in a specific area of New Orleans, Louisiana. Upon further investigation, an inner a***** that was ran by the leaders of the Boy Scouts in that area was discovered and the details are not only gut-wrenching but also horrific and infuriating. And this brings us to Troop 137. In 1974, Louis Seale, Raymond Woodall, Richard Stanley Halverson, and Harry Kramer founded the Boy Scout Unit Troop 137 in eastern New Orleans, Louisiana. What looked like a normal troop within Boy Scouts on the outside held disturbing details behind closed doors. The ill intentions for starting troop 137 were later revealed this group of men essentially founded troop 137 to provide themselves and others with small boys to after just a small amount of time troop 137 turned into something more horrific than anyone could imagine the group would specifically recruit poor lower class children from broken homes to join troop 137 which is common for since they find these children to be easy targets. This tactic was also consistent with other scouts from all over the country. They bought their affection and trust with gifts like bicycles, uniforms, and other items. They invited the young boys over for sleepovers and pool parties, which apparently was another nationwide trend among the Boy Scouts perpetrators. Pool parties. Who would have thought? Mason Spong, a New Orleans Police Department detective in the 1970s, received a call one day while he was working from a store employee. The employee had been developing some film and accidentally came across some photos of the leaders of Boy Scout Troop 137 having s*** with minors. Young. Young boys. After Spong and his colleagues were handed the pictures, they learned that the men in them had formed part of a referral service, if you will, that sent boys around the country for other s***. to a b****. This ring had members in several states and even in England. Troop 137 was declared by authorities to be the nucleus of a nationwide b**** and b**** ring with boys recruited into the troop being sent to other states for the b****. That's a direct quote. What a better way to get away with the b**** ring than start your own Boy Scouts troop where you would be surrounded by young boys who looked up to you and were told to listen to you as the leader. In one news article from that time, Detective Spong stated that, quote, End quote. Now Spong was eventually able to get Cial to corroborate the statements of several, mostly underprivileged troop members between the ages of 11 to 15, who told police investigators that their scoutmasters had ***** and *****. to them two of the leaders of troop 137 later pled guilty in exchange for reduced prison sentences of seven and thirty years raymond tom woodall and harry kramer the other two involved with troop 137 were sentenced to 75 and 45 years in prison this means that three out of those four people if they're still alive are still out there somewhere in society living freely living their lives to the max god knows what they're doing why does this happen so goddamn often But this brings us to one of the big questions. Were all the facts of Troop 137 fully investigated? And were all of the perpetrators actually brought to justice? You can bet, since we're talking about this scandal on the show today, that the answer to that question is definitely not. We're going to talk about the perpetrators who were prosecuted, the survivors, and the conspiracies behind the handful of others who were involved, and they were known to be involved, but they unfortunately got away without any legal repercussions. The Perversion Files. Like I briefly stated earlier, the Perversion Files, also known as the P-Files to the Boy Scouts, were a huge collection of documents containing reports and evidence of men who were removed from the Boy Scouts over the past 60 years for being child s***. It was a system designed to quietly keep track of suspected ****** within the Boy Scouts. All of these files were compiled in a database and eventually provided to the Los Angeles Times in 2012. What those reporters saw was disturbing, to say the least. There were endless thousands of accounts of ******, allegations against young Boy Scout members, charges that included ******, and forcing young boys to perform ******. on the Scoutmasters and the other adult volunteers. And as it turns out, many of those perpetrators who were known to the Boy Scouts to be were still allowed to continue scouting at other troops. The Boy Scouts National Chapter didn't keep tabs on these They wrote their names down, put them in a file, and they never checked up on them again. It was like acting like you're doing your due diligence, but you're not really doing anything. They weren't investigating these things. They weren't actually reporting them. They weren't keeping track of these people. And lo and behold, a number of these... After being caught one time, they got out, moved, and then started scouting with another troop, another fresh batch of victims for them to take out into the woods and do God knows what with. The names that were disclosed in the perversion files were reportedly expelled from the Boy Scouts for homosexuality suspicions, not s***. Apparently in the 1970s and early 1980s, a lot of people saw stories about s*** against minor boys and were more concerned with the fact that they were doing homosexual acts rather than acts of s***. It's disturbing and weird that this was such a common thing. Gender doesn't matter when it comes to s**t. It's still a p**t. No matter of the gender, sexual identity, age, race, a p**t is and always will be nothing but a scummy p**t. In a newspaper article from 1982 about a Boy Scout scandal, it said that nine men had been convicted in connection with homosexual activities involving a Boy Scout troop in eastern New Orleans in 1976. That was a direct quote. Don't you mean activities though? I mean, that's what they were. It wasn't homosexual activities against children. These were... It's crazy to see this terminology change over the years. I mean, it's incredibly dangerous to use that term instead of what it actually is, which gave people at the time, obviously, an excuse to go after completely innocent gay men. But within those files were thousands of reports of s**t. all throughout the country, not just in Troop 137 in Louisiana. These reports date all the way back to 1919. So why did it take so long for these people to be exposed? Well, it wasn't until two years after the national lawsuit against the Boy Scouts took place in 2010 that the files were released for public viewing. As it turns out, there were thousands of... that had been on the Boy Scouts radar for nearly a century. And that entire time, the public wasn't able to look into it or even know that it was going on in the first place. These files were hidden away from parents and the Boy Scouts were knowingly at times allowing that they kept files on to lead groups of children and get that access to young boys that these craved. And they weren't informing, you know, parents, oh, this guy's a convicted... They weren't doing any of that. They were putting these children on a silver platter and practically handing them to the . But that's not all. The investigation into the files also showed that the scouts at times failed to report that to authorities. And many times they covered up these allegations to protect the organization's reputation and image. In New Orleans, where Troop 137 was located, the Files suggested that they reacted to criminal charges already filed against Scoutmasters and volunteers and looked to minimize media coverage of the events. I'm assuming they did this in an attempt to take eyes off the scouting organization so they could continue doing what they were doing, covering up crimes of... In many of the incidents scribed in the files, no criminal charges were ever filed, meaning that the allegations were never actually heard in court. Additionally, only a few of the men from the New Orleans area and Troop 137 were listed by name. Why? Who are these other two mysterious b****es and why were their names being protected? Well, you're going to say why. Now, earlier we mentioned that those rounds of film were turned into the police that contained b****. images that were discovered by the store employees in 1976. And this brings us to Harry Kramer. Harry Kramer was the assistant scoutmaster of Troop 137 at the time. And Kramer, along with three other scoutmasters, was identified as being in those films pictured on camera. those young boys. Those pictures obviously leading to their arrests. The other three men that were identified in the film were Richard Halverson, Raymond Woodall, and Robert Lang. After the film discovery, Richard Halverson, the scoutmaster of Troop 137, had his home raided, and that's where everything began. During their search, investigators found two foster children, boys, living with him, aged 9 and 11. They also found an 18-year-old named Lloyd Schweigman, who was then arrested for possession of the drug tuinol and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Now, aside from child b****, the police officers also seized index cards listing the names and addresses of young boys from other states, as well as printed forms detailing the sexual preferences and personality types of all of these b****. Detectives stated that the materials had been used to facilitate the interstate s***ing of boys through mailing lists and advertisements placed in b****. adult magazines. They also found correspondence Richard Halverson had with other all across the United States. This whole thing was starting to take shape. Then there was Raymond T. Woodall, another scout leader of Troop 137 who was discovered in the raid. They found out that Raymond had been in the process of applying for federal and state funding to establish a number of group homes for boys in New Orleans. The investigation also revealed the history between Woodall and Halverson. They had personally worked together at a private school for children in Florida called the Adelphi Academies. owned by a wealthy man named Peter Bradford. Woodall and Halverson had moved to New Orleans together in the early 1970s and became juvenile probation officers, positions which they used to access and reactivate case files on juvenile offenders. They would then use this to leverage offers to the juvenile's family of sponsored scholarships to the Adelphi Academy in Florida. So they were using their positions of power to almost perpetuate pretty much threaten these families into sending their children on this sponsored scholarship to Florida. And at least six boys from New Orleans were to Florida to this Adelphi Academy because of this practice where they were then used for on camera to produce. It's truly insane the lengths that these people would go to to obtain these young victims in order to use them in their... They reopened old juvenile cases combed through police reports just to have access to these boys and then they would bribe their families with this great opportunity to attend a private academy school to help them. Completely free of charge. If you haven't picked up on it yet, Adelphi Academies was not being used as just an academy. It's disgusting and so, so heartbreaking for all these young boys. The Adelphi Academies was more like the p****** school for proper p******. There's also Louis Seale. Now, we mentioned Louis earlier since he was one of the founders of Troop 137. After the Raiden investigation, he was promised consideration of his sentencing to testify against the other Troop 137 members during trial, which he did. A lot. In fact, Louis Seale testified in detail about years worth of s**t. against children within the Boy Scouts, with victims as young as 8 years old. Lewis later pled guilty to two crimes against nature, and received a reduced sentence of only 7 years. I don't know if *** or *** weren't existing or common charges at this time, but most of these guys were charged with aggravated crimes against nature, which is considered a ***. act that is deemed unnatural or contrary to the order of nature. Seven years in prison for a hardcore like that. Seven years. Gotta love the American justice system. There's also Richard Windman. Now, Detective Spong, who we talked about earlier, he was the one who initially got that call about the photographs being discovered. He said some of the most crucial testimony in this case came from Richard Windman, and he remains disturbed from the details of his... to this day. Richard Winman appeared on the Netflix documentary Scout's Honor to publicly tell his story about the years of abuse he suffered at the hands of his scout leaders in Troop 137. His story is hard to listen to. His youth and his innocence was completely ripped away by these monsters. Spong recalls watching Winman take the stand in front of the crowded courtroom and said he was so angelic looking and that it was heart-wrenching. He was small, sweet, and had blonde hair. He was just a child. Yet there he was talking about the horrific, graphic, disturbing things that had happened to him. Things that no child should ever have to go through. According to Winman, testifying at the trial was horrible. He said, You feel embarrassed, you feel like you've done something wrong, and you're sitting there in a courtroom full of adults and media, and you are asked to recount all of this. Winman grew up in New Orleans and was recruited when Troop 137 started canvassing neighborhoods in the 1970s for Boy Scouts. He recalls how strange it was that he skipped Cub Scouts and went straight to a Boy Scout. Cub Scouts are younger members of Boy Scouts ranging from ages 5 to 10. Although he was of age to be a Cub Scout, they recruited him directly into their Boy Scout troop, making him feel like it was an honor and privilege to be a part of it so young. He said: "I took it I was special. I was advanced. I had a Boy Scout's uniform, and I was so young and not supposed to do that. The shirt pockets rested right above my belt. I looked ridiculous. Imagining Windman in his oversized uniform feeling special about moving up with the older boys is just heartbreaking, knowing what came next. It didn't take long after joining that the horrors began. He calls them "nighttime trips." This is where he was first at Woodall's house by Harry Kramer, which went on for years. According to Windman, men would fly from out of town to be there. It was a huge The Boy Scouts was just a front for all of it. Windman also states that during this time, he was by a New Orleans Police Department detective who was the commander of the child s**t unit at the time. He also recalls being ****ed by a janitor of the Catholic school and a priest. I mean, so many different people were clients of the troop 137 ****ing ring that they were running, and no one said a word until it was accidentally stumbled upon in those photos. Windman was the main victim and survivor who helped bring these main men to justice. Detective Spong said that he was able to corroborate everything Windman had told him at the time. He also talked to the other young victims and survivors and encouraged them to tell their stories to Detective Spong as well. According to Spong, Windman was the reason why all of these other children learned to trust him. If it wasn't for Windman, it's hard to tell if these men would have ever been found guilty. Sadly, Windman attempted to himself at the age of 19 and eventually turned to alcoholism at the age of 47 to self-medicate. However, he eventually got sober, took medication, and started seeing a trauma-informed psychologist. He's now the co-founder and president of Survivors of Childhood S***. Also known as SCSA. He's a survivor, victim, advocate, activist, and according to him, a warrior. And I agree. But there are other known players in Troop 137. Lots of people that helped cover this whole thing up. Who engaged in these activities. who were intimately involved. So, another interesting player that is going to be involved in this story, if you guys know Harry Connick Jr., he's a famous singer, he's been a judge, I believe it was on American Idol, on one of those shows where America's Got Talent. His father, Harry Connick Sr., was the district attorney of Orleans or Orleans Parish, or New Orleans, at the time of these crimes. And Harry Connick Sr. is going to come up time and time again as being tied in to this entire affair in a way that's absolutely unbelievable. We first have to start talking about Richard C. Jacobs. Richard C. Jacobs was a prominent millionaire who lived in Boston who was arrested during the Troop 137 investigation and was given the most charges. However, Harry Connick Sr., the New Orleans District Attorney, declined to ever reveal how the investigation exactly led to Richard C. Jacobs or to any of the other men who lived in other parts of the country for that matter. It was something he deemed as unimportant to release to the public. There's also Reverend Claudius Ira Vermeule Jr. Now, within the correspondence found between Richard Halverson and other b**** across the United States, investigators found a letter written to him by Reverend Claudius Vermeule, an Episcopal priest inviting him out to visit his boys' farm in Tennessee, known as Boys' Farm Inc. This was a one-and-a-half-acre boys' farm, which was marketed as a rehab center for homeless and troubled boys, but was later revealed to be running as a b****. amongst its minor residents. This was a whole thing that we're going to be doing an episode on in the future. Reverend Claudius Budd Ira Vermeule Jr., he's tied into North Fox Island. He was friends with Frank Sheldon from North Fox Island, so Troop 137 is connected to that network. And right there, that's a connection that shows that Troop 137 was connected to a much larger ring. The boys' farm is one of the most disturbing things ever. It was another... production home. It was a place where rich men could pay to come visit the boys and do whatever they wanted to these children. And it was a place of pure evil. So the fact that there's a letter that exists from the Reverend who was running the boys farm to somebody from Troop 137 is absolutely insane. It's thought that Troop 137 frequently brought their Boy Scouts to the boys farm to be... We're going to talk more about that in a future episode, but just keep that in mind that that establishes a connection to a major national. There's also Stanley Burkhart. Stanley Burkhart is a former Louisiana child investigator for the New Orleans Police Department. Interestingly enough, Stanley was one of the perpetrators who later admitted to... children during his career, children that included Richard Windman. He's even the suspect in multiple murders today. Sounds like a great guy. He was once a law enforcer who built cases against New Orleans child s**ters in the 1970s and 80s, but his career ended after being convicted of mailing images depicting the m***** of underage boys to undercover agents, a wolf in sheepskin, the whole time. He also later pleaded guilty to s**t a nine-year-old girl he was related to by marriage. As recently as 2019, he violated his parole by failing to notify police of an email address and username he had, which he used to leave suggestive comments under young boys' photos online. This opened up a search into his home, which uncovered 67... images of teenagers. He was sent back to prison and then transferred to a federal halfway house in April of this year. Still, in August of 2024, Stanley Burkhart was released from the halfway house with few limits on his movements. Even though he's still required to wear an ankle monitor, he no longer has to log his movements, honor a curfew, or avoid anywhere, not explicitly banned by his release conditions. According to his parole officer, a prescribed regimen of medical and psychiatric care prevents Burkhart from being dangerous. Keep in mind, this is one of the monsters who Richard Winman when he was a child in Troop 137, at a time when he was working as a child advocate. Just like the Scoutmasters, he was supposed to be someone who children could trust. His release has triggered severe emotions in Winman, as it should. To him, it is a, quote, utter failure of the justice system, end quote. There's also Robert Lang. Initial Scoutmaster and committee member of Troop 137, Robert Lang was known to have provided out-of-state politicians with boy prostitutes under the disguise of a tour guide business called the Adelphi Tours. He also had previously served as an officer in four different branches of the United States military. When Robert was investigated, they found jars of s***. in his personal collection. Unfortunately, Robert Lang pleaded guilty to a conspiracy charge in this whole thing and received a suspended sentence, meaning he spent zero time in prison for his crimes. There's also Harry Connick Sr. himself. Over time, the truth behind Troop 137 was more massive than anyone could have ever imagined, and facts were discovered well beyond the main perpetrators. Sadly, multiple other prominent sh** strings of that decade were connected to this same operation. It turns out that Troop 137, like I just talked about before, was more than just a local b****. ring for minors involving a few scoutmasters and volunteers with some out-of-state clients. They were catering to the entire nation. The main person we're going to be talking about here when it comes to conspiracies is the District Attorney of New Orleans around that time, Harry Connick Sr., who prosecuted these cases. Like I mentioned before, you might have heard of Harry Connick's son, the famous actor, singer, and TV host, Harry Connick Jr. On the outside, Harry Connick looked like a hero for bringing some of these men to justice and shedding light on what really happened within Troop 137. But upon further review, there are some weird backstories and connections surrounding Harry Connick Sr. During his closing argument, he told the jury, quote, This man, referring to Woodall, used these things, American institutions, to hide behind them and use them to entice these children into his trap. Any man who would take a young precious child and **** Now this is interesting coming from Harry Connick Sr. since a few years later in 1980, he was assigned to the case of John Campbell, a p***y. and then dropped the charges against him. This is where things get a little tricky, so stick with me here. John Campbell's name was first mentioned during the Troop 137 trial by one of Harry Connick Sr.'s own witnesses, Louis Seale, who was the perpetrator given a really low sentence in exchange for his testimony. He implicated in court that Harry Connick Sr. and John Campbell, another b****** who was involved, were lovers. Not only was John Campbell a b******, He was also a well-known New Orleans artist and undercover child producer. Harry Connick Sr. of course later denied these claims, but did admit that Campbell, that known was a political supporter of his during his campaign. It was later revealed that Connick and Campbell met shortly after Campbell's home was raided by detectives during the Troop 137 investigation. Three days after the raid, Campbell fled from New Orleans. Harry Connick Sr. then subpoenaed the local Times-Picayune newspaper in order to obtain all materials they possessed related to his and Campbell's relationship, likely to see what kind of information they had about the connections between the two. Then he tried the case when Campbell was out of state. Ten months after Campbell fled, more charges were filed against him, making him a fugitive. After he was picked up by the FBI years later in Arizona and brought back Back to New Orleans, his case was assigned to be handled directly by Harry Connick Sr. since he had handled all the others related to Troop 137. However, Harry Connick Sr. reassigned it to Assistant District Attorney Terry Allerkit after Campbell told a judge he had known Harry Connick Sr. for several years as a personal friend, a legal advisor, and an active campaign supporter when Connick ran for office. So Harry Connick Sr. was trying these cases against Troop 137 when he was extremely good friends with one of the perpetrators and maybe he was even his secret lover. After the case was transferred, that other district attorney dropped all remaining charges against Campbell, which gives even more validity to the possibility that Ciali's claims were true. Of course, District Attorney Allercon said he handled Campbell's case without any bias and without any encouragement from Harry Connick Sr., stating that Connick told him to handle the case as he would any other. Now, Harry Connick Sr. would never be reached for comment on Campbell and the true reasoning behind his dropped charges. Consider that a child s**t. his charges dropped. A guy tied into Troop 137, but also directly, allegedly intimately, tied into the district attorney. Pretty strange, right? Well, in November 1979, Raymond Woodall, who had been sentenced to 75 years in prison, sent a letter to the Times-Picayune newspaper regarding the Adelphi tours, which hadn't been made public about the case. He stated, quote, The service started out using adults, but they began ripping off the customers. That's when Woodall said we could use the kids. They'll get $50, a good meal, and all that jazz. The customers will enjoy themselves and everyone will be happy. End quote. New Orleans detectives confirmed they had investigated this tour guide and Connick's office was made aware of this, but they didn't pursue it in the past because the people involved had already been prosecuted on other charges. But Raymond Woodall was given 75 years... Richard Halverson was given 30 years. Harry O. Kramer was given 45 years. And Robert Lang was given none. Robert Lang, remember, was the guy operating these Adelphi tours. The guy... these children to politicians. There was plenty of room for more charges that could have put these people in prison forever. Why wasn't the tour guide service investigated more? Why did that investigation go nowhere? Were there other people involved who Harry Connick Sr. didn't want to be disclosed? I don't understand how an entire fake business, which in reality was exposed as being a... That case could be given to the district attorney and nothing's done with it. Plus, this whole thing had direct ties to Troop 137, which would have given the prosecution more ammunition. It would have been easy. It would have been a slam dunk case. This... ring operating as a tour guide service, they had witnesses, they had people that could testify, they had paper trails and documents. Why didn't they dig into it? Another interesting fact about Harry Connick Sr. involves Gerard Jerry Howell, a former priest who was accused of... 24 children. Handfuls of people have come forward over the years claiming that Gerald Jerry Howell them while they were members of the Catholic Church and at the Catholic Center for the Hearing Impaired that he started in 1967. Kathy Austin and her sister Darlene went public with their stories of Gerard Jerry Howell as far back as 1992. But sadly, the Archdiocese simply refused to remove him from ministry. New Orleans Archbishop Philip Hannon reported Now, New Orleans Archbishop Philip Hannon reported that he had heard Jerry Howell was a b****. and he reported these crimes to Harry Connick Sr. around the year 1980. But Harry Connick Sr., a known Catholic, never filed a single charge against him, even though there were multiple victims and he was apparently a**hole with multiple children. Why were no charges filed? Why was he not investigated at that time by Harry Connick Sr.? I guess we'll never know. Another Catholic priest at the time, Dino Senal, was caught with a**. In his room at the rectory of St. Rita's Roman Catholic Church in New Orleans in 1988. You heard that right. A Catholic priest. He was caught with child inside of the church in his personal room. And I actually did a whole episode of this on our Patreon for Murder in America. He's tied into some murders and deaths. And Dino Sino, he was murdered eventually by a victim of his in a foreign country. But he actually produced that child. inside of the church himself with victims. This wasn't stuff that he had purchased. He actually was producing that stuff in the building. Investigators at the time found magazine articles about... graphic photographs of underage boys, and even, like I said, homemade videos of Dino Seno at least seven different boys, sometimes inside of the church building itself. Despite this mountain of evidence, Harry Connick Sr. claimed that the case was too weak to prosecute. Too weak to prosecute? Then video footage of Dino Seno children inside of the church where they found the videos. What more evidence could you possibly need? Well, in 1990, Gary Raymond, an investigator for the district attorney's office, begged Harry Connick Sr. to prosecute Dino Seno in a three-page letter that he personally wrote to him. When asked about when he was going to prosecute Dino Seno, Harry Connick Sr. said, quote, never as long as I'm the DA, end quote. Dino Cino was later given a minor charge of possession of pornography, which was later dismissed on a technicality. And that's a whole thing that we could do a whole episode on. I mean, you have a priest who's victimizing dozens, it could be hundreds of children in New Orleans. He's filming him f***ing these children. He's tied into p***. And the district attorney literally says on the record, he's never going to prosecute him as long as he's the DA. And he gets off on a technicality. He goes free, even though he victimized so many children and made child. What the fuck? was going on in New Orleans. So it's no surprise when you look at Harry Connick Sr. and Troop 137 and why all this went awry. This guy was part of something, in my opinion, much bigger than simply just being a guy with, you know, predator tendencies or sympathy for... So, Harry Connick Sr. was the district attorney prosecuting these men for the crimes they committed while running Troop 137, even though he had direct ties to someone who was participating in it, and then he repeatedly failed to prosecute other b**** during his career, and he let b**** who appeared in child b**** walk away from their crimes and convictions? What else was he involved in that we don't know about, and who else was he protecting? Well, Connick Sr. just died in January of 2024, so I don't think we'll ever uncover the full truth behind it all. Now, sadly, Troop 137 was the only scouting... ring that was ever really talked about until recently. And who knows if it even would have been talked about if those people hadn't discovered those undeveloped photographs in the first place. Ken Tipton, a victim and survivor of another troop, said that he and his friends were passed around from city to city by these scoutmasters. Although Lost Valley around St. Louis was their home base, they were by the most people and were forced to participate in the worst scenarios when they were sent to New Orleans. According to him, there were strings all over the country being facilitated through Boy Scouts. Was Troop 137 the center of it all? Well, the Boy Scouts of America filed for bankruptcy in February of 2020 after several US states enacted laws allowing accusers to sue over decades old allegations. After that, thousands of victims became plaintiffs of the massive lawsuit that filed. A $2.46 billion settlement was put up by the Boy Scouts, which resolved 82,500 claims of men who claimed they were s***. by troop leaders as children. Given what we know about Troop 137 alone, I don't doubt any of these stories for a second. But will we ever know the full story behind Troop 137 and all of the perpetrators who were involved? Even if they weren't living in New Orleans and actually volunteering locally for Troop 137, there were men all over the country who contributed to this b****** ring and were paying money to s*** these innocent children. It should be noted also that there was child b**** production and distribution involved with this ring as well. My thoughts, as always, go out to all of the Boy Scout survivors, and I really hope that they're able to heal from the extensive trauma that they've suffered. Now, Troop 137. We could be talking about this all day, but once again, just like with all of these other rings, you have maybe one or two people that are brought to justice in a sort of kind of way, but then you have all these other red herrings and people and loose ends and and people that died and people that escaped justice for what reason? Why did these people consistently escape justice? Who is letting these people run free? Why are they allowing these things to happen? Harry Connick Sr. Why the f*** did you not prosecute these b****? Why did you not stop these people from b****? these children filming these and selling this footage. I mean, it's literally like insane to me that they find the footage of Dino Sino, completely unrelated to Troop 137 in its own way, but they find the footage of him children in the building that he lives and works in. And Harry Connick Sr. literally says, I will never prosecute him. Luckily though, justice was eventually served. Like I said, Dino Senal got murdered after trying to another child in a foreign country. But still, what the f***? There's, there's, I say in all these episodes where there's smoke, there's fire. And this is like an entire smoke screen. There is so much smoke here and it's still mysterious. There's still so many loose ends in the Adelphi Academy. We could talk about the graphic details of what was going on in Florida and the children being stripped and... and filmed there by those people. None of them were ever held accountable. The people in Florida, they just, you know, skirted on the charges, declined to prosecute. Investigation went nowhere. And you're really going to tell me, once again, it's just like Epstein. It's just like the Franklin ring. It's just like North Fox Island. Yes. They nabbed a couple of these guys and gave them some weak cases and weak charges and weak sentences. But what about the men that were using these services? What about the men that were paying the scoutmasters so that they could have access to these children? All the kids, the victims testified that men were brought in. They were flown out to other people's houses. Men were allowed to do whatever they wanted to these kids. None of those men were ever held accountable. Try to find one arrest or prosecution. It's because it didn't happen. I know in this case that there was the Boston lawyer, he was tied in, and I think there's one other guy. But there were hundreds of perpetrators in this case, as with all these rings. Hundreds. Could be thousands of perpetrators, really. And yet they never are really brought to justice. There's just a stamp of approval on the cover-up, like Harry Connick Sr. dropping charges, moving on. Everyone's, you know, sworn to silence. And sometimes we don't even hear about these people who die before they can share their truth or connection to these cases. And then society moves on and history continues to repeat itself. This is just a crazy, crazy story and one that I hope I never have to cover again.
