Intent

Bezalel Smotrich - In 2017, Israel's finance minister, Bezalel Smotrich wrote a blueprint to commit genocide called Israel's Decisive Plan, which aimed at eliminating the possibility of a Palestinian state and ensuring exclusive Jewish sovereignty from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean.

When asked if he intended to slaughter entire Palestinian families including women and children, he said: "in war as in war".

Dahiya doctrine - It is official Israeli policy to target civilians. Because Israelis can't actually fight, when they lost the Lebanon War in 2006, just before leaving, they obliterated the suburb of Dahiya out of petty spite, birthing the Dahiya doctrine, which they immediately subjected Gaza to in Operation Cast Lead to vent frustration. The Dahiya doctrine is state sanctioned military doctrine which advocates for the use of disproportionate, overwhelming force and destruction of civilian infrastructure. It involves targeting economic interests and civilian power centers in the hopes of forcing the population to turn on its military.

Netty - In a speech right after Oct. 7, Netanyahu invoked the biblical story of Amalek in reference to Palestinians: "You must remember what Amalek has done to you, says our Holy Bible. And we do remember".

Giora Eiland - Writing in the Ynet newspaper, reservist Major General and Defense Analyst Giora Eiland wrote in plain language about the benefits to Israel of intentionally causing a humanitarian crisis. In a piece titled, This is not revenge, it's either us or them, he says: ''The state of Israel has no choice but to make Gaza a place that is temporarily or permanently impossible to live in. Every building will be a military target. Further, not to be content with stopping the flow of electricity, diesel and water to Gaza, but to gradually attack targets that provide these essential needs, and if necessary, also to block with fire, any vehicle passage from the city of Rafah to the north. Creating a severe humanitarian crisis in Gaza is a necessary means to achieve the goal.''

Anonymous contacts - Veteran investigative journalist, Seymour Hersh, citing his Israeli contacts: ''With the starved-out civilian population forced to leave, the Israeli operational plan calls for the Air Force to destroy the remaining structures in Gaza City and elsewhere in the north. Ehud Olmert - Former Israeli Prime Minister, Ehud Olmert wrote In Haaretz: ''the position of senior government figures is public and clear. Yes, we've been denying Gazin's food, medicine, and basic living needs as part of an explicit policy. Netanyahu typically is trying to blur the type of orders he's been giving in order to evade legal and criminal responsibility in due course. But some of his lackeys are saying so outright in public, even with pride. Yes, we will starve out Gaza because all Gazans are Hamas. Giora Eiland/Smotrich - Former National security advisor to PM Ariel Sharon and PM Ehud Olmert, Giora Eiland, wrote an opinion piece known as the Generals Plan, calling for inducing epidemics of disease and making the Gaza strip uninhabitable: ''The international community warns us of a humanitarian disaster in Gaza and of severe epidemics. We must not shy away from this, with all the difficulty involved. After all, severe plagues in the south Gaza Strip will bring victory closer and reduce casualties among the IDF soldiers. No, this is not cruelty for its own sake, since we do not support the suffering of the other side as a goal but as a means.''

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, shared the article on X, expressing his agreement.

Ghassan Alian - Ghassan Alian, head of COGAT, speaking in Arabic: ''Human animals are dealt with accordingly. Israel has imposed a total blockade on Gaza, no electricity, no water, just damage. You wanted hell, you will get hell.''

Ayelet Shaked - While serving as an Israeli lawmaker, Ayelet Shaked called for the genocide of Palestinians on Facebook: "They are all enemy combatants, and their blood shall be on all their hands. Now this includes the mothers of the martyrs, who send them to hell with flowers and kisses. They should follow their sons. Nothing would be more just. They should go, as should the physical homes in which they raise the snakes. Otherwise, more little snakes will be raised there.''

She was promoted to Justice by Bibi.

Shaked to Channel 13: ''With God and the IDF's help, after we turn Khan Younis too into a soccer field, I'm sure there will be international pressure at some point hopefully after we finish the job.''

Evidence

The Gaza Health Ministry's death toll as of March 2025 is estimated at 75,000, not including missing people, those who starved to death, died of dysentery and disease, or babies which died in incubators and hospital patients who died when Israel cut off the electricity.

The 75,000 figure was a rough gauge, as it's hard to tell due to Israel's blockade. In January 2026, IDF officials briefed journalists that this number was considered broadly accurate. Previously, the IDF had only counted military targets.

In one week, Israel killed more Palestinians than during the entire 50-day war in 2014, which killed 2,200 people, 500 of which were children. The Israeli military has itself relied almost exclusively on data from the Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza.

According to UN Special Rapporteur for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories, Francesca Albanese, 70% of recorded deaths have consistently been women and children. Israel failed to prove that the remaining 30%, i.e. adult males, were active Hamas combatants. By early December, Israel's security advisors claimed the killing of 7,000 terrorists, in a stage of the campaign when less than 5,000 adult males in total had been identified among the casualties, thus implying that all adult males killed were terrorists.
