USS Maine - In 1898, Spain had been fighting to put down a revolt in its province of Cuba, which it had held for almost 500 years. The US government used the opportunity to launch the Spanish-American War, justifying it through exaggerated stories of Spanish atrocities against the Cubans. The explosion of the USS Maine was also blamed on the Spanish, even though later investigations confirmed the ship sunk from an internal explosion, not an external one.
Summer of terror - After the surrender of Japan, Syngman Rhee was installed as President of South Korea. He would use his newfound powers to imprison at least 30,000 people, establishing the Bodo League, a re-education program for suspected leftists and sympathizers, including up to 300,000 people. It's known now that the vast majority of Bodo League members were not in fact leftists or even liberals, but placed into the program to fill local police quotas. Up to 70% of them were non-political, just very poor.
In what's been called the summer of terror, South Korean forces emptied prisons across the country, then lined up the detainees and shot them individually in the head. Victims were then thrown into mass graves, dumped into mine shafts, or tossed into the ocean. It is believed that 30,000 political prisoners were killed at the time, virtually all of them, since that was approximately the number of political prisoners that existed at the time.
In one single incident, on July 2nd, truckloads of police entered Daejeon and forced locals to dig six large pits, each 200 yards long. Then detainees from the local Daejeon prison were transported in trucks to the pits, where they'd be slaughtered, mostly with bullets to the head and having their heads chopped off with swords. The South Koreans took three days to kill all the prisoners, 7,000 in total.
Americans were present, supervised the killings, and even took pictures, which were kept secret for half a century. It was a matter of policy to keep them secret, so they blamed the killings on communists.
The Pentagon even subsidized a film called The Crime of Korea, narrated by Humphrey Bogart, claiming that the massacres had been carried out by the North.
The Americans also conducted hundreds of their own massacres. In a later investigation, 215 massacres were attributed to US soldiers, the most famous of which being the Nogun-ri Massacre, exposed to the world only in 1999.
The Nogun Ri Massacre was carried out the day a directive was issued to US troops simply to fire on approaching refugees. A confidential letter from US Ambassador to South Korea John Muccio, signed on the day, reads: ''If refugees do appear from north of US lines, they will receive warning shots, and if they then persist in advancing, they will be shot.''
These killings remained hidden away due to suppression, as well as fear of speaking out against the right-wing dictatorship of post-war Korea. They would be exposed to the world through the Truth and Reconciliation Commission set up by South Korea in 2005. Kim Dong-Chun, who was appointed to lead the subcommittee on "mass civilian sacrifice," believes that an estimate of 100,000 people killed in the summer of 1950 is "very conservative," and that it's likely double that or even more, comprising up to two-thirds (200,000) of the total membership of the Bodo League.
Gulf of Tonkin - The Gulf of Tonkin incident was claimed by the US government to be an attack on an American ship by the North Vietnamese. Though it never occurred, the event was used by Johnson to declare war on North Vietnam.
Lavon Affair - During the Suez Crisis, Israel devised Operation Suzanna, more commonly known as the Lavon Affair, after Pinhaus Lavon, who took the fall for it. Israeli military intelligence recruited a group of Egyptian Jews to plant bombs inside American, British, and Egyptian civilian-owned targets with plans to blame the resulting blasts on the Egyptians. This would then trick the British into retaining a troop presence in the Suez, preventing any escalation or embargo against Israel by Egypt. The attack was intended to blow up movie theaters, libraries, and schools owned and frequented by expat Americans. After a few relatively unsuccessful bombings, the spy ring was uncovered by the Egyptians and the plotters were arrested, with two being executed. After decades of publicly denying any involvement, in 2005, President Moshe Katzav, presented the surviving plotters with certificates of appreciation on behalf of the Israeli government.
Operation Northwoods - Declassified documents relating to Operation Northwoods were prepared by the Department of Defense and Joint Chiefs of Staff for JFK in 1962. The documents titled Justification for U.S. Military Intervention in Cuba proposed numerous plans for staging a false flag attack and blaming it on Cuba. Some of the proposed plans included remotely controlling a civilian plane painted to look like a US Air Force plane; a faked attack of a US Air Force fighter off the coast of Cuba; the possible assassination of Cuban immigrants; and sinking boats of Cuban refugees on the high seas.
USS Liberty
Entebbe Raid - According to a UK government file released by the National Archives, an unnamed contact told a British diplomat in Paris that the Shin Bet and the PFLP collaborated to seize the plane which was hijacked in Athens and flown to Entebbe in Uganda, where 98, mostly Jews, were allegedly held by the PLO. When the crisis was still unresolved, DH Colvin of the Paris Embassy wrote that according to his source: ''The hijack was the work of the PFLP, with help from the Shin Bet. The operation was designed to torpedo the PLO's standing in France and to prevent what they see as a growing rapprochement between the PLO and the Americans... My contact said the PFLP had attracted all sorts of wild elements, some of whom had been planted by the Israelis."
The Troubles - British intel officer Colin Wallace has admitted that from 1972-74, his unit planted fake evidence of satanic rituals at sites around Northern Ireland and manufactured news stories of black masses and witchcraft. The unit would construct makeshift altars on beaches and other public places, then get animal blood from supermarket meat and splash it around the altar to simulate evidence of animal sacrifice. At other sites, the officers left black candles and upside-down crosses arranged to resemble ritual chambers. The scenes would quickly be discovered by locals, generating rumors of witchcraft, generating national news coverage.
Operation Trojan - In 1988 the Mossad planted a radio transmitter in Libya, broadcasting false reports tricking Reagan into bombing the country. The mass media was completely behind it and never explained why.
Baruch Goldstein damage control - Immediately after the Cave of the Patriarchs massacre, the Israeli Secret Service clandestinely planted a bomb in a Catholic church in Lebanon, hoping to kill hundreds of Catholic worshipers, a bombing which would then be blamed on the Arabs, and in this way shift media focus onto the Arabs.
Flight TWA800 - The national transportation safety board claimed it was an accident, although 375 witnesses saw one or two bright flair objects hit the plain, many of them believing it was a missile. Israeli intelligence had tried to put the blame on an Iranian missile but some investigators believed this was a failed Israeli false flag attack designed to force the US into retaliating against Iran.
Curtis Culwell Centre attack - In 2015, two gunmen claiming to be ISIS opened fire at an exhibit for cartoons of the Islamic prophet Muhammad in Garland, Texas. Nobody died except them at the hands of the police.
60 Minutes discovered that one of the shooters, Elton Simpson had been monitored by the FBI for years before the attack and was in touch with an ISIS recruiter, as well as having been previously monitored for three years by Dabla Deng, an informant paid $132K by the FBI.
An attorney for Abdul Kareem, who helped facilitate the attack, was given 60 pages of declassified messages between an undercover FBI agent and Elton Simpson. These documents showed that, less than three weeks before the attack, the FBI agent had told Simpson to “Tear up Texas.” The FBI agent had even been in a car behind the two shooters at the time of the attack, using his cell phone, several feet away, to film the building’s security guard seconds before he was shot. The undercover FBI agent fled the scene of the crime before being stopped at gunpoint and detained by Garland police.
Jerry Varnell - Jerry Varnell was a 23-year-old schizophrenic, accused of attempting to bomb a bank.
Varnell's parent pointed out that Jerry did not own a car, had no job, and lived in a trailer on their property. They used the FBI’s own case files to show that undercover agents were the ones who actually provided the cargo van, drove Jerry around, and supplied the inert bomb-making chemicals.
They also revealed that the FBI paid Brent Elisens, a convicted drug dealer to radicalize Jerry, and that they had tried to kick him off of their property, but he kept coming back. This was confirmed by official FBI disclosure documents and Elisens himself on his Substack: "Varnell had no resources, no materials, no means to pull off this fake data center bombing… We set him up and I got paid well for it."
Buffalo NY shooting - In 2020, Payton Gendron killed 10 black people at a mall in Buffalo NY. According to two anonymous law enforcement officials who spoke to The Buffalo News, a retired FBI agent was one of at least six individuals in Gendron's Discord who received advanced notice of the shooting before it happened.
HMM Namu (Iran War) - A mine supposedly drifted into a Korean ship in the strait of Hormuz without killing anyone or sinking the ship. This hasn't happened to any other ship being guided through the strait. This is because Korea has interceptor, which America needs to fight the war.
