Due to the seizure of valuable land and resources in the occupied west bank, Palestinians are forced to work in Israel; those 26,000 who stay in the west bank resort to work building homes in Illegal Israel settlements.
To work in Israel, Palestinians require a permit costing the equivalent of €580 per month. On top of that, 40% of the pay of those who work in construction is taken by Labor Brokers. On average palestinians work 12 hours a day for the equivilant of $3 an hour, without insurance
All of this is against Israeli labour law.
To make it into Israel to work, Palestinians have to line up as early as 3am to wait 3 hours at a checkpoint. (𓃠)
