To work in Israel, Palestinians require a permit costing the equivalent of €580 per month. On top of that, 40% of the pay of those who work in construction is taken by Labor Brokers. On average palestinians work 12 hours a day for the equivilant of $3 an hour, without insurance All of this is against Israeli labour law.
To make it into Israel to work, Palestinians have to line up as early as 3am to wait 3 hours at a checkpoint. (𓃠)
Since October 7th Roughly 30,000 Gazans lost have jobs because of an air, sea, and land blockade that Israeli officials say was designed to keep Gaza indefinitely on "the brink of collapse.'' (𓃠,𓃠)
Energy - The Israeli Electiv company (IEC) supplies electricity to all branches of the Israeli government and to the vast majority of Israeli households. Palestinians are dependent on IEC. Some Palestinian communities in Israel are unable to connect to the power grind, receive lower quality services, are charged differently than Israelis and are subjected to collective punishment through punitive power outages.
