R.C. Horsch

On June 19, 2026, police pulled over a black BMW in Philadelphia in what seemed like a routine traffic stop. Inside the car was a male driver accompanied by a frightened, seemingly drug-addled woman who told officers that the man was going to hurt her. After searching the vehicle, officers found two loaded firearms with obscured serial numbers, roughly $8K worth of narcotics, and an assortment of other cold weapons.

The man who had initially handed officers a fake DEA badge was identified as 44-year-old Eugene Horsch.

The frightened woman identified herself as Blair Tonzelli, a 35-year-old missing person who had disappeared in 2023. But the woman wasn't Blair Tonzelli. She showed officers an ID card bearing her own photo but Tonzelli's name. She admitted she didn't know Tanzeli, but said she feared something bad happened to her.

Horsch was arrested on drug and weapons charges, but the ID bearing the missing woman's name led police officers to search his home in Philadelphia. At the residence, officers discovered another illegal firearm, a fake FBI badge bearing Eugene's photo, and an elaborate marijuana growing operation. They also found over a million digital images and videos of adult content that had belonged to his late father, underground pornographer R.C. Horsch. The material featured some 60 different people, and investigators believe the archive contains a mixture of real and staged violence, as well as possible snuff films that link several missing women, all presumed to be dead, to the Horsch home.

On top of that, investigators discovered a makeshift chemical lab and a 55-gallon drum connected directly to the home's main waterline.

R.C. Horsch

Raymond Charles Horsch died in 2025. On his own website, he once described himself as an artist, filmmaker, composer, former Sesame Street producer, writer, corn performer, drug smuggler, political activist, art forger, counterfeiter, pot grower, airshow pilotman, army deserter, fugitive, sociopath, ex-convict, and an all-out villain.

His father, also named Ray Horsch, was a mechanical engineer and a renowned WWII glider pilot.

R.C. himself was also a pilot and claimed to be mostly self-taught. His uncle, Albert Horsch was a lieutenant in the US Naval Reserve and worked as a chemical engineer on the Manhattan Project.

From the get-go, R.C. Horsch described himself as a rebel and an outsider. He said he wanted to be different from everyone else; in the 1960s, when everyone was drinking and using drugs, he said he refused precisely because everyone else was doing it.

R.C. Horsch claimed that after graduating from high school, his first job was freelancing for Wackenhut, which is a known black-ops weapons contractor involved in fraud and murder on US soil.

Horsch said that he worked for Wackenhut bugging phones, one of his clients being Watergate burglar, E. Howard Hunt, also involved in the Kennedy assassination.

In interviews, Hunt has said that he once bugged the phone of the girlfriend of a local Philly politician named Crumlish, presumably Philadelphia district attorney, James C. Crumlish Jr.

At the time, Crumlish was running for re-election as DA of Philadelphia, a race he lost to (((Arlen Specter))), the author of the magic bullet theory.

Porn - In the 70s, Horsch was working as a fashion photographer in New York City at the time, and allegedly also on the children's show Sesame Street, when he wandered on a porn set where the porn actor Harry Reams was filming.

From that point on, he took small roles and odd jobs in the industry. In 1973, Horsch released his most famous work, The erotic memoirs of a Male Chauvinist pig, financed by gangster Sam ''the Barber'' LaRussa.

La Russa was a mob-connected Philly figure who ran a bar called the Bag of Nails, while his brother Michael La Russa ran Dante & Luigi's, a frequent hangout for mob figures like Philly mob boss Angelo Bruno. Horsch claimed that he eventually sold the movie to the mob for $50K, and according to him, they made a lot more from it.

The most dominant figure in porn at the time was the Gambino capo, Robert "Deep" DiBernardo, who was said to control the entire interstate adult film trade. He was conveniently murdered just as federal authorities were opening an investigation into his alleged involvement in a nationwide CP ring.

Horsch had his first serious run-in with the law, when he was arrested over a counterfeiting operation with authorities seizing over $1M in phony $10 bills. He served two years for that and in 1977, right when he got out of prison, police raided his home and discovered a meth manufacturing operation. This time, Quartz decided to flee to the West Coast, where he stole the identity of a real-life chemist with a Stanford PhD, named Stanley Eugene Stokowski, then fled the country and relocated his family to New Zealand. There, he became a high-profile chemist and helped to open an ethanol fuel plant. Horsch claimed he traveled back to the United States multiple times using different aliases. However, in 1984, he was caught re-entering New Zealand with five fake passports, but managed to flee again. He was finally apprehended by the FBI in Orlando, Florida in 1985 and sentenced to four years in prison, but was released early in 1987.

After his release from prison in 1987 and the soon death of his wife Anna in front of their son Eugene, Horsch slowly returned to producing porn movies and started building a presence online. Although his movies were always on the fringe, from the 90s onward his work became increasingly more dark and disturbing. His MO was picking up prostitutes and/or drug-addicted girls and women of the street, offering them illegal substances in exchange for appearing in his movies. It was said that the Kensington Avenue area became his, and perhaps his son's, hunting grounds.

A couple of missing women, including missing person, Blair Tanzeli from the beginning of this video, are now being connected to the Horsch home and allegedly appear to be hurt in some of his videos.

This also includes Horsch's later wife, Amy McHale, who vanished in 2016 and was last seen at the Horsch's home.

He was also alleged to have had access to a Kensington crematorium connected to the infamous Garzon Funeral Home, which sold the dead bodies on the black market, including to an NYC-based biomedical tissue company. Horsch was using that access to videotape and photograph the deceased at the crematorium.

Horsch owned a few websites featuring some of his audiovisual material; he had an email address ending in R21. R21 is a non-profit organization that produces documentary films and digital content about living contemporary artists.

One of the artists listed on the site is none other than Marina Abramović.

In March of 2009, Horsch was arrested again for attempting to lure a 9-year-old girl into his car in Kensington, Philadelphia. He was charged with corrupting the morals of a minor and two misdemeanor counts of attempting to lure a child into a vehicle and sentenced to two and a half years in prison. He appealed and won a new trial; then prosecutors ultimately dropped the charges because the girl was too scared to testify a second time. This should've been indicative of the fact he was guilty, but instead it was used in his favor.

A couple of months later that year, however, Horsch was arrested again after police raided his premises and discovered a marijuana growing operation in the basement. He was sentenced to 54 months in prison and was released in 2013.

A year after his release, Horsch published Empathy, a book that is now banned and that was described as the biography of a caring, compassionate, empathetic serial killer. Although the book is supposedly fiction, in it Horsch claims to be a murderer and in one chapter he describes dissolving a body in a bathtub in a basement.
