Vatican gay orgy - Vatican police are said to have broken up a gay sex orgy at the home of a secretary to one of the Pope's main advisors. The location belonged to the Vatican's congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith. Illegal drugs are also said to have ben found at the location. The Vatican Church's connection to the drug trade go much deeper than that though.
Members of this organization are provided with certain privileges, especially the more well connected ones, and some of them use that to engage in predatory behavior. What basically happened when this whole thing broke was that there was a lot of whistle blowers, which forced them to throw several priests under the bus, while at the same time there are many incidents where the church has seemingly protected offenders from consequences, such as shuffling predatory priests around when ever rumors start spreading about them locally, and cases where the Vatican government has claimed to be handling these incidences internally, and more or less just go silent on the matter. And then there's the claims that a certain graveyard fund is actually intended as hush money for victims and those around them.
