Health Insurance - Medicare is public health insurance provided by the US government. Reagan added a loophole known as Part C, which allows you to get health insurance from a private firm, with the government paying for it, using your taxes. So insurance companies, have an incentive to set high princes, knowing people will except them because the government picks up the tab, even though they do so with billions of your taxes due to the prices set by the companies.
Insurance companies have a direct incentive to reject as many claims as possible, because they get to keep the money which would've been spent treating you, while lowering princes to knock out competition. United Health Care uses AI to do mass-bulk denials of their customer's claims. When customers appeal these denials, 75% of the denials are overturned; insurance companies purposely make the appeals process as frustrating as possible, just in case.
They also have an incentive to keep you sick. UHC have been caught diagnosing patients with diseases they just don't have to ring more money from taxpayers. They've even been caught bribing patients to report more symptoms. They diagnosed 66,000 patients with cataracts, even though those patients had already gotten cataract surgery.

PBMs - Drug manufacturers sell their product for as low as two cents to insurance companies and retail pharmacies who use PBMs (Pharmacy Benefit Managers) as middle men to increase the price of the drugs on paper, justifying the high prices of their insurance plans. For example, a bottle of Insulin costs $5 to produce, but it's priced so high that diabetics, like Alec Smith, die because they can't afford it. In most countries Insulin costs $35, but in America it costs $250.
Only three companies manufacture Insulin in the US: Sanofi, Novo Nordisk and Eli Lilly.
SSRIs - ADHD isn't a real disorder, it's a personality type which has been genetically matched to the remains of hunter-gatherers as apposed to farmers; it is an advantageous personality type shared by many successful people and is synonymous with the Commander. (ENTJ)
Methamphetamines were re-branded in 1942 to Desoxyn, which is what Ritalin and Adderall are. All they do is zonk high performance, creative people out to keep them behaved in school. The American Psychiatric Association (APA) republished the Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) in the 80s including 'ADHD' to justify the sale of SSRI's. (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors) Btw, 80 of APA's funding comes from pharmaceutical companies.
In the 2000s, pharmaceutical company, Shire, (now part of Takeda) paid for 50K issues of a comic book about super heroes with ADHD who pop pills and promote doing so to their young readers.
In 2022, digital mental health startup, Cerebral spent $13.3M on TikTok ads in just four months.
Opiods - MS Contin is Morphene packaged under a new brand, sold to cancer patients. In the 90s, Purdue, the company which provided it, started marketing it to regular people for things like back pain or menstrual cramps, under the name OxyContin. The (((Sackler))) family, behind Purdue, paid medical journals to publish false information about their product, repeating lines like: ''delayed absorption as provided by OxyContin tablets is believed to reduce the abuse liability of a drug''. They claimed that OxyContin had a 12-hour pain release, but their own internal documents revealed they were aware that most were only experiencing 7 hours, causing them to take more and overdose.
Half-a-million Americans died from ODing on OxyContin, including the drug's poster-child, Johnny Sullivan, who fell asleep at the wheel, flipping his truck. Thousands of babies were born with a dependency on opioids because their mother was addicted.
In 2020 Purdue Pharma pleaded guilty to fraud and paying kickbacks to promote their products. The Sacklers had to pay a $6B settlement and surrender control of Perdue. From thereon-out, everyone in the Sackler family was protected from any lawsuits involving OxyContin.
Antibiotics - Pharmaceutical companies make money off of selling antibiotics to meat processing companies due to the filthy cramped conditions the animals are forced to live in; this causes bacteria to develop an immunity, becoming super-bugs, which end up poisoning and even paralyzing and killing consumers.
