In 1987 in Arkansas, two teenage boys, don henry and and Kevin Ives were find shot and tied to railroad tracks. Don's father Kurtis received a phone call that boys were shot. Kurtis contacted Kevin's mom Linda, and they met with the police at Don's house. The police had informed Kevin's mother that there was no indication that the boys had been shot. The police eventually told the parents that the boys had been fatally run over by a train, and that 19 grams of weed had been found on Kevin.
Don's father Kurtis asked his hunter friend to examine the tracks himself. He found little blood on the tracks, despite the fact that the official story stated the boys had been dragged across for a mile. Medical staff also noted this fact.
The conductor on of the train reported seeing the boys lying between the rails, covered in a tarp. This was mentioned to the police, who deny they were told.
According to the cases' medical examiner, Dr. Malik, there was no alcohol in the boys' system. A statement from the medical examiners office said that the boys were rendered unconscious, and in a deep sleep on the railroad tracks on THC. The medical examiner didn't mention the lack of blood at the scene.
The official hospital report stated that blood on the bodies was dark in color and nature, which would indicate a lack of oxygen in the blood posing into question how long the victims had been dead. Staff noted that there was an absence of fresh blood, and that the blood had appeared to have dried.
At the investigative hearing, paramedic Shirley Raper testified that while attempting to drive the ambulance out out a secondary road, she came across a pickup truck occupied by three people.
Police investigators and the county corrinor stated that they had been involved in cases where the findings countered Dr Malak's findings. In once case Malak had ruled a shooting as a suicide, when the investigators and corrinor ruled it as an accidental death.
Saline County Sheriff, James steed conducted the investigation.
