In Dec, New York Times analyzed satellite imagery of South Gaza, to find 208 crater holes left by 2000 pound bombs. (𓃠)
On Dec 1st the IDF published a map dividing Gaza into zones according to recognizable areas, to be referenced in evacuation enouncements on "various media outlets," (𓃠) not that most refugees have internet access. The Israeli army has not only cut off electricity to Gaza but also targeted and damaged its already temperamental mobile network, thus leaving most of the people there with almost no access to the internet.
The leaflets that were dropped over the weekend are also not worth the paper they were printed on. The QR code on them is of use only if there is a working phone with a charged battery and internet access.
Discrepancies of different maps being shared by Israeli officials have also resulted in additional confusion. Areas marked for targeting in orange did not even correspond with the numbers of blocks officials were telling people to evacuate from.
On Dec 2d, 2023 Israel ordered residents of neighbourhoods in the east of Gaza City, including Shujayea, Zeitoun and the Old City, to evacuate to the west. (𓃠)
On Dec 2d, 2023 Israel announced on Twitter that residents of Al-Katiba Station, Hamad Al-Satar, Bani Suhaila and Ma’an in Khan Yunis should evacuate to the neighborhoods of Al-Fukhari, Al-Shaboura, Al-Zuhur, and Tal Al-Sultan. (𓃠)
On December 4th Sky News reoprted that Tzipi Hotovely, the Israeli ambassador to the United Kingdom, told told them that al-Mawasi, a narrow coastal Bedouin town towards the south, is a safe zone and is one of the shelters created with aid organisations. When Sky News correspondents visited al-Mawasi to investigate, they found no shelter arrangements such as agency tents or food kitchens. (𓃠)

On Dec 18th the IDF dropped leaflets over Gaza listing a number of safe zones for refugees to move to, including Al Zuhur, Al shaboura, Tal Al Sultan.
On Dec 24-25, 2023 Israel conducted 50 airstrikes across Middle Gaza including on three refugee camps, Al Bureij, Al-Nuseirat, and Al-Maghazi, killing 131. (𓃠)
On Oct 14th 2023 the IDF posted a map urging civilians to flee to Al Mawasi. On Nov 4th Israeli defense minister Yoav Gallant announced it as a safe zone where there would be no strikes. The IDF has posted on X evacuation orders to Al Mawasi 11 times since January.
In January, Israel instructed 800,000 poeple in the Khan Younis refugee camp to evacuate further south.
In Febuary the IDF opened fire on Palestinians who were gathering at food trucks in Rafah. Israel claimed that the shots were initiated in response to a stampede but video evidence shows otherwise. Some of the dead were run over by the food trucks which sped off after shots rang out. According to the Palestinian ministry of health, 112 were killed. (𓃠)
In Feb an Israeli airstrike targeted a mosque in Yebna refugee camp in Rafah. (𓃠)
In April an Israeli airstrike on a house in Rafah killed 10 people, mostly children. (𓃠)
On January 4th Al Mawasi was hit with an airstrike killing 14 people.
On Jan 9th Tal Al Sultan was hit with an airstrike, killing 15 civilians.
