Murder of Activists

🇺🇸Rachel Corrie - A 23yr American activist who was purposefully crushed to death by an IDF bulldozer while trying to prevent the demolition of a Palestinian home. Rachel was wearing a flashing jacket and using a megaphone.

According to witnesses at the scene, still wearing her fluorescent jacket, Corey sat down at least 15 meters in front of the bulldozer and began waving her arms and shouting, just as activists had successfully done dozens of times that day. The bulldozer continued driving forward, headed straight for Rachel. When it got so close that it was moving the earth beneath her, she climbed onto the pile of rubble, being pushed by the bulldozer. She got so high onto it that she was at eye level with the cab of the bulldozer. Her head and upper torso were above the bulldozer's blade, and the bulldozer driver and co-operator could clearly see her. Despite this, he continued forward, which pulled her legs into the pile of rubble and pulled her down out of the view of the driver. If he'd stopped at this point, he may have only broken her legs, but he continued forward, which pulled her underneath the bulldozer. ''We ran towards him and waved our arms and shouted, one activist with a megaphone, but the bulldozer driver continued forward until Rachel was underneath the cab of the bulldozer.'' The bulldozer ran her over twice.

Israel's supreme Court exonerated the army, claiming it was 'wartime activity,'despite the fact that this event didn't take place in the heat of some larger battle, and the Israelis weren't under fire. It was a scheduled Israeli military operation to destroy some Palestinians houses during which the Israelis were in no immediate danger and were definitely aware of the presence of American and British protesters at the site. The Israeli court closed the investigation file without charging the bulldozer driver after the acquittal of Rachel's killer was issued in 2013 on the pretext that there was no negligence on the part of the bulldozer driver, and the American government and media, refusing to even name the IDF soldiers involved.

In 2000 Anthropologist Nancy Scheper-Hughes recorded the former head of Israel's forensic institute, Yehuda Hiss, on tape admitted that pathologists harvested organs from dead Palestinians without the consent of their families, a practice which Israel said ended in the 1990s. Dr. Hiss was also responsible for performing Rachel Corrie's autopsy. Her family requested that an American official be present at her autopsy, which they were told was the case. However on March 14, during the first round of hearings in the Corries' civil suit, Hiss admitted under oath that he had lied about the presence of an American official during the autopsy of Rachel Corrie. He also conceded to taking "samples" from Corrie's body for "histological testing" without informing her family, most likely her corneas.

In 2013 Israeli soldiers posted pictures to Facebook on pancake day to mock her death.

In 2015 Corrie's parents met with then under-secretary of state, (((Antony Blinken))), who asked "What do you want me to do?", encouraging them to travel to Gaza on their own to press for progress on their daughter's case.

🇺🇸The Gaza flotilla raid - The Gaza Freedom Flotilla was carrying humanitarian aid and construction materials, with the intention of breaking the Israeli-Egyptian blockade of the Gaza Strip. The IDF attacked the Flotilla, killing nine activists, some shot in the back of the head and at close range, and wounding dozons, including one who later died of his wounds. Furken Doğan was a Turkish-American Journalist who was killed during the raid.

🇺🇸🇵🇸Alex Odeh - A Christian Palestinian activist who was assassinated in a bombing in 1985. Odeh was The West Coast regional director of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee, who was assassinated by members of the Jewish Defense League in California, 1985. Eight years after the bombing, it was revealed that ADL spy Roy Bullock, who had worked closely with Odeh and had virtually unrestricted access to his Santa Ana office right up to the day of his murder, had been spying on Odeh on behalf of the ADL for years before his death. The attack on Odeh was part of a rash of mostly unsolved bombings across the US in the mid-1980s that targeted Arab Americans and other people perceived as enemies by the most extreme fringes of the Zionist movement. Odeh's colleagues at the ADC noted that Bullock's partner, Tom Gerard, had specialized in explosives during his tenure in the CIA and expressed their suspicions to the FBI at the time. But there's no evidence that any links between the bombing and Girard were ever established or even investigated.

Tom Hurndall - A British volunteer for the International Solidarity Movement who was shot in the head in the Gaza Strip by an IDF sniper, Taysir Haybw, while trying to shield Palestinians.

World Central Kitchen convoy attack - In 2024, despite coordinating movements with the army, a WCK team traveling in a deconflicted zone in two armored cars branded with the WCK logo and a soft skin vehicle, was droned by the IDF, killing 7 members. The convoy was leaving the Deir al-Balah warehouse, where they had unloaded more than 100 tons of humanitarian food aid brought to Gaza on the maritime route.

Flotilla Attacks

MV Mavi Marmara - In 2010, Israeli naval commandos stormed the Mavi Marmara—the flagship of an earlier Gaza Freedom Flotilla—in international waters. The Israeli raid resulted in the deaths of 10 pro-Palestinian activists after intense physical clashes broke out on the vessel. The incident drew widespread global condemnation and forced Israel to significantly ease its blockade on the Gaza Strip.

The Conscience Bombing - In 2025, The Conscience, a vessel chartered by the Freedom Flotilla Coalition (FFC), was struck twice by explosive drones in international waters off the coast of Malta. The attack caused a fire and a substantial breach in the hull, but the crew managed to stay afloat and were eventually assisted by Maltese authorities.

October 2025 Boardings - The Israeli military attacked, intercepted, and boarded all nine boats of a humanitarian fleet in international waters, detaining roughly 450 volunteers heading to Gaza's hospitals.

September 2025 Drone Strikes - Activists sailing toward Gaza reported that at least two boats docked in Sidi Bou Said, Tunisia—the Portuguese-flagged Family Boat and the British-flagged Alma—were struck by suspected Israeli drones, causing fires. The ships sustained significant damage.

Global Sumud Flotilla - In 2026, the Israeli military intercepted 22 boats belonging to the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) in international waters off the Greek island of Crete.
